Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
⚠️ This is a plain-language starter policy for our beta. It is not legal advice. Before public launch, have an attorney review it for your jurisdiction.
Yo Human ("Yo Human," "we," "us") is a service operated by Brian Fischer, a sole proprietor doing business as ("DBA") Yo Human. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. What we collect
- Information you give us when you join the beta: your name, email address, and mobile number.
- Usage counters: when Yo Human sends you a notification, our software records a small event (its type — completion, needs-approval, or error — and a timestamp) so we can measure how the product is used. During the beta these counters are linked to your account.
2. What we do NOT collect
- We do not access your code, files, or projects.
- We do not see the contents of your Claude Code sessions or your messages.
- Usage counters carry no project names, file paths, code, or message text — only the event type and time.
3. How notifications are delivered (third party)
Notifications reach your phone through ntfy, a third-party push service. Your private "Channel" name links Yo Human on your computer to the ntfy app on your phone; messages route through ntfy's servers. See ntfy for their practices. Keep your Channel name private — it is the key to your notifications.
4. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the service and help you set it up.
- To contact you about the beta, send setup help, and request feedback.
- To understand usage and improve the product.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run Yo Human (for example: hosting, email, and the ntfy notification service). We share only what is necessary for them to perform those services, or where required by law.
6. Data retention & your choices
- You can opt out of beta emails at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account information and usage counters.
- You can turn off usage counters (and still use the notifications).
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and Yo Human is early beta software provided on a best-effort basis.
8. Children
Yo Human is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify beta participants.
